Privacy Policy for the Operation of the Website
1. General / Collection, Processing and Use of Data
Use of the provider's website is not dependent on registration or the creation of a customer account. As with any website, our server automatically and temporarily collects and stores information in server log files transmitted by the browser, unless you have disabled this (the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR). This includes, for example, the IP address of the requesting computer, the webpage (URL) from which you visit us, the time of the server request, as well as the browser type, browser version, and operating system of the requesting computer, the name of your internet service provider, and the name of the page or file you accessed.
No personal evaluation of server log files takes place. These data cannot be attributed to specific individuals by the provider at any time. These data are not merged with other data sources. They are evaluated solely for the purpose of improving our services and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity.
2. Collection and Processing of Voluntarily Provided Data
The submission of personal data (e.g. name, first name, email address, postal address) by email or via our website is generally voluntary and is only collected when you provide it to us voluntarily.
If you have provided us with personal data, it will be used to process your enquiries and only processed for the purpose for which you provided it to us, e.g. for the fulfilment of contracts concluded between you and us. For the sending of information about further offers (e.g. newsletters), we will only collect, process, or use your data within the framework of legal provisions or with your express consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR).
In the event of electronic consent within the scope of our online services, the statutory information obligations will be observed and your consent will be recorded by appropriate technical systems.
Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally required to do so or you have previously given your explicit consent.
Where we use third-party services to carry out and process operations, the provisions of the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) will be observed.
3. Storage Period
Personal data communicated to us via our website will only be stored until the purpose for which it was entrusted to us has been fulfilled. Where commercial and tax law retention periods must be observed, the storage period for certain data may be up to 10 years.
4. Use of Your Data from Our Contact Form or via Email
For any type of enquiry, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via our website (contact form) or by email.
The personal data you provide to us as part of a contact request via our website (contact form) or by email will only be used to respond to your enquiry or to make contact, and for the associated technical administration, on the basis of your voluntarily given consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. Data will not be passed on to third parties. You have the right to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. In this case, your personal data will be deleted immediately. Your personal data will also be deleted without your withdrawal once we have processed your enquiry or you withdraw your consent to storage, unless we are legally obliged to retain the data. This also applies if storage is otherwise prohibited by law.
5. Cookies
The provider uses cookies to ensure comfortable and secure use of the website. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are small text files that the user's web browser — unless deactivated by the user through the appropriate settings — receives when using the provider's website and stores on the computer being used (locally in your browser's cache). Cookies are used in particular to recognise the internet browser and are used for session management and statistical analysis. No personal data is stored in this process. You can set your browser so that no cookies are stored on the hard drive or so that cookies already stored are deleted again. Depending on the settings chosen and the browser used, it may not be possible — or only partially possible — to use the provider's website if cookies are disabled.
7. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies" — text files stored on your computer that enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a server operated by Google in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide further services related to website and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser software settings; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.htmland at http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
8. Use of Google AdWords
This website uses Google AdWords, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"), on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation, and economic operation of our online services within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Through the Google AdWords service, which is an online marketing method, advertisements are placed in the Google advertising network (e.g. in search results, on websites, etc.). These are then displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the advertisements. This enables advertisements for and within our online services to be displayed in a more targeted manner, and users are only shown advertisements that potentially match their interests.
To this end, we use the remarketing function within the Google AdWords service. Remarketing refers to the display of advertisements — in particular for products — in which you have previously shown interest on other online services. We pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is relevant to you and making our website more interesting for you.
For this purpose, Google analyses the interaction of users on our website and on all websites of Google AdWords customers.
To do this, Google stores a code in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites within the Google Display Network. Via this code — referred to as a "cookie" — the visits of these users are recorded, along with the content they are interested in and the offers they have clicked on, as well as technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit, and other data relating to the use of the online service. This code is used to uniquely identify a web browser on a specific computer, not to identify a person; no personal data is stored. You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google's privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
In addition, we use so-called conversion tracking as part of the Google AdWords service. When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer or device. Google thereby creates a statistic for the AdWords customer, which however only shows an anonymous total number of users who clicked on an advertisement. The AdWords customer therefore receives no personal data, and this information is thus not used for personal identification.
To prevent cookies from being stored, you can configure your browser software accordingly. However, please note that use of the provider's website may not be possible or may only be limited if cookies are disabled.
You also have the option of deactivating interest-based advertisements on Google as well as interest-based Google advertisements on the web (within the Google Display Network) in your browser. The relevant settings can be made at http://www.google.de/settings/ads or http://www.aboutads.info/choices/. Further information on your related options and data protection at Google can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/?fg=1.
9. Use of Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called Google Web Fonts, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, for the uniform display of fonts. When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This gives Google the information that our website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a consistent and attractive presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
10. Integration of Google Maps
On this website we use the service Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function.
By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant subpage of our website. In addition, the data referred to in section 1 of this statement is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such analysis is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google directly to exercise this right.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your related rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: http://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the United States.
11. Use of Facebook Pixel
This website uses "Facebook Pixel", a service of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.
This service makes it possible to identify visitors to our website — and in particular to our online services — as a target group for the display of advertisements.
When you visit our website, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server, and Facebook receives, among other things, the information that you have accessed our website using your device. The visit to our page is associated with your user account, which allows us to ensure that our Facebook advertisements correspond to the potential interest of users.
We, as the operator of the website, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. We only have the option of selecting which segments of Facebook users (such as age and interests) our advertisements should be shown to.
Furthermore, Facebook can use the pixel call from your browser to determine whether a Facebook advertisement was successful — for example, whether it led to an online purchase — and can thus track the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes.
Information on data processing by Facebook can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
Information on Facebook Pixel can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.
You have the option of making settings at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads regarding what types of advertisements you wish to receive.
Alternatively, you can object to data collection via Facebook Pixel at http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
12. Social Media
We currently use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, SoundCloud, and YouTube.
You will find these in the upper right-hand area of our page. We use the so-called 2-click solution. This means that when you visit our page, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of these plug-ins. Only when you click on one of the plug-ins will personal data be transmitted: by activating the plug-in, data is automatically transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the United States). We have no influence over the data collected and the data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes, or the storage periods. Since the plug-in provider collects data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on the greyed-out button.
When you activate a plug-in, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our online service. In addition, the data referred to in section 7 of this statement is transmitted; in the case of providers in Germany, according to information provided by the respective providers, only an anonymised IP address is collected. This occurs regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you activate the button and, for example, link the page, the plug-in provider will also save this information in your user account and share it publicly with your contacts. If you do not wish this information to be associated with your profile at the plug-in provider, you must log out before activating the button.
The plug-in provider stores this data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such analysis is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) to display demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact the respective plug-in provider.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the privacy policies of these providers communicated below. There you will also find further information on your related rights and settings options for protecting your privacy.

15. Disclosure of Data
As set out in section 2 of this statement, your personal data will only be passed on or otherwise transmitted if we are legally required to do so or you have previously given your explicit consent.

These third parties have been carefully selected and commissioned by us. They are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us. In the context of order processing, the service providers we use (such as our logistics centre, the shipping company, and our payment service provider) receive the data necessary for order and contract processing. The data passed on in this way may only be used by our service providers to fulfil their tasks. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not occur with any of the service providers commissioned by us.
No other disclosure of your data takes place; in particular, your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
